Frustrating much?
Hello there.

I'm not even angry. I'm being so sincere right now. Even though you broke my heart and killed me, and torn me to pieces. And threw every piece into a fire. As they burned, it because I'm so happy for you. I'm GLAD I got burned!

Don't mind that top part there. Not important (lol, I love the song). Anyways, so today I'm going to talk about a frustrating topic for me...which is...smoking! If you smoke, just a warning: in this post, I am going to rant about smokers and diss them. You don't like it? Stop reading and leave this site. Thank you. Good bye. And then there may be cake.

So anyways, smoking. We all know that smoking is bad. We learn it in school. Our parents tell us just how bad smoking is. Or at least, some of them do. For the people that didn't know how bad smoking was and are now addicted (only applies to those who are over the age of thirty-five), well, no can do. However, for teenagers...especially teens, and young adults...why do they smoke? Why? I don't understand this.

We learn in school that smoking is terrible. That you'll die early from lung cancer or something else resulted from smoking. That smoking is addictive, and that it's quite difficult to quit once you're addicted. That smoking is not cool, yellows your teeth, makes you look older, gives you a cough, etc. etc. So then...why do teens still smoke? Is it because of that "I want to fit in with society" thing? Bullcrap. I don't think that making others cough on the disgusting scent of their chemically-saturated residue is fitting into society, or looking cool. In fact, it really goes to show how cool teens who smoke are! I mean, what's cool? Having a high IQ is definitely cool. :) And teens that smoke? Well, they seem to have an IQ equivalent to x<(7^2)-80+1. That's x is less than, not equal to or less than. And definitely not greater than.

What about, "I'm so depressed. I'm going to drown myself with smoking"? Well, seriously, I find that excuse even worse than the "fitting into society" one. You're depressed. Everyone gets depressed. Deal with it. Even if you smoke NOW and feel better, that will only last for so long. You'll just get yourself into an even greater problem. Smart.

Or, "I won't get addicted". Oh, well, since 99.9999% (round up) of the population becomes addicted after smoking for a while, what makes you think that you'll be that 0.0001% (round down)? Well, let's see, actually...99.9999% rounded up is 100%, and 0.0001% round down is 0%, so hey...wow, that really solves everything. :)

So, kids. Don't smoke. Unless you'd like to die slowly; then go ahead and smoke. Just be sure to keep out of other people's way so that you don't kill them too, along with yourself. Be safe. Be happy. Then there will be cake.

PS. I feel FANTASTIC and I'm still alive!
PPS. While you're dying I'll be still alive!
PPPS. And when you're dead I will be still alive!
PPPPS. Yes, I'm listening to the song while typing this. Goodbye.

Happy Valentine's Day!
Bonjour, mes amis. Aujourd'hui, je vais parler à propose de l'amour, parce que ce jour est le Jour de la Saint-Valentin. Très bien, n'est-ce pas?

Happy Valentine's Day guys! candy_heart Today, I'm going to talk about love, because it's Valentine's Day. Seems appropriate, hm? Actually, what would I know about love? I've never been in love, of course. However, I will give my opinions and views about it, gathered from things throughout life.

What is it like to be in love? What is love? What would we define love as? Would it be spending $500 to buy a diamond for the one you love, or agreeing to everything they say? Would it be showering them with gifts all the time, and trying to make them happy? Of course, there are many opinions on what can be defined as love, but I will give my view of what really is called love (of course, romantic love, not family/friend love).

The Newbury House Dictionary of American English:
Love - 1. to like with great intensity. 2. a very strong liking and affection.

Well, in the case of romantic love, I think that money does not matter. Just because you spend $100, $1000, or even one million dollars on someone doesn't mean that you love them. Just because you buy whatever they want doesn't mean that you love them. I saw a quote somewhere that describes love quite well from my point of view, and here it is: "You don't love someone whom you can live with, you love someone whom you can't live without". Exactly. When you reach the point in romantic feelings when you can't live without someone, or suffer every day because they aren't there, that is when you reach love. When you are able to sacrifice some of the most important things in life (your future, all your belongings and home, etc.) or life itself.

Simply wanting to make someone happy isn't love. Saving them at the cost of a great sacrifice is love. However, how will you know that you love someone without having something terrible happen that will test that bond? Well, perhaps, if nearly every day of your life is lighted by a certain person, that may be love. When you feel down, and they always have the ability to cheer you up. When you feel terrible after you argue with them; when they are always in your thoughts when they're gone. That may be love. But you can never truly know when you love someone until something tests it.

You may believe that you will sacrifice anything for the one you "love", but once you actually have to do it...well, let's just say mere talk is easier than action.

I'm quite disappointed by the relationships of the modern-day societies. Back in the past, a long long time ago, love might have been more genuine, but now, most relationships don't last. Nearly every young couple has divorced once, and many marriages don't last until death. People nowadays are so quick to say that they "love" someone and marry them, yet file for a divorce one or two years later.

I don't believe that actual love fades away after such a short time, and if you stop loving someone because they've changed, then the changed person has never truly loved you. It's sad how relationships are snuffed out as simply as a candle is, and how love, nowadays, has become the subject for scandals.

There's some food for thought. Still, don't let that get to you, and have a happy Valentine's Day. Even if you may not be truly in love, you can still enjoy the similar feeling while it lasts. candy_queen

PS. Today is February 14, 2008. The time zone for the cutenews is kind of screwed up. Or the date. Whatever.

I'm back~
Heya guys,

I'm back after a long hiatus, with a new layout and this new post! ^^ Oh, semester two's just begun, and the first week is over (since today is Friday and it began on Monday). We get our report cards on Valentine's day. Woot. Anyways, on with the blog.

Today, I'm going to talk about how many people can be quite inconsiderate when in the hallways at school, or anywhere with crowded hallways. But this post will refer to school hallways (mostly the transition time between classes - I usually don't bump into these problems at lunch).

So, I have decided upon one rule to abide by in school hallways: Push or be pushed. Simple as that. See, most students don't like to be considerate while in the hallways. Most of them do one or more of the following:

1) Walk slowly in the middle of the hallway while talking to their friends.
2) Hit you with really hard purses that are jutting out from under their arm.
3) Push and shove each other into other people.
4) Form a big line of chatting friends that blocks the whole hallway.
5) Get past people by pushing them.
6) Step on random shoes.
7) Randomly stop in the middle of the hallway.
8) Walk really slowly backwards in the middle of the hallway because they're talking to their friends and don't want to part yet.

And a couple more I can't think of at the moment. But yes. These things drive me nuts. I'm trying to get to my destination either quickly, or in a reasonable amount of time, and I'm thwarted because of stupid people that do those things. I especially dislike the purses thing - it really, really hurts. I usually get hit in the upper arm by a really hard leather purse that's sticking out under some silly, random girl's arm who's strutting by. It hurts like crap, and I feel like throttling that girl. Or some guys that love pushing each other because they think it's so macho, and end up pushing one another into innocent passerbys.

Also, people that randomly stop in the middle of the hallways...it's dangerous to do that, because people behind them may crash into them. People need to be considerate and come to the realization that there may be others trying desperately to get somewhere in a reasonable amount of time, so move to the side and don't block the hallways, or walk a bit faster.

Don't trudge along like you have no care in the world.

Still, "push or be pushed" works well for me. Although right now, I'm lecturing on being considerate to other people, I have come to realize that most students will be rude and inconsiderate. There's no point trying to be polite and wait for a huge group of gaggling kids to move. So push. That's what I do, now. Yes, I am guilty of #5.

Still, if you can attempt to not do one of the 8 listed above, or anything else you can think of that may hinder others, then please do so. Don't be one of those idiots that I usually meet during schooltime. Or even just in shopping malls, although people tend to be more considerate outside of school. Thank you very much. candy_thumbsup

Birthday!
Heya guys,

Wow, I haven't blogged in a looooooooong time. Anyways, today's my birthday! Yup. I'm 16 now. Oh noes, it's the driving age. I'm finding driving kind of scary, but whatever. It's kind of interesting too (I'm curious to drive, anyway).

Whoo! Party today! I originally wanted to invite like 8 people, but my parents were scared that they would disturb the neighbors. So yeah. It went down to 4 only. But it's okay. The party was fun. We played video games all day! WHOOOOT. Okay, just so you know, this entry won't have any interesting things to ponder and discuss. Just my day today. Cause I'm too lazy to think up something controversial to talk about.

So anyways. PARTY - VIDEO GAMES. Here's a rundown of the party:

Soul Calibur II - About one hour.
Finger DDR Max (no dance pad, just controllers) - About two hours. Who knew that everyone would love finger DDR so much? Well, I don't really, so I was just at the other TV playing Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage again (Playstation), because it's just so awesome.
Food- About one hour.
Other Video Games- About one hour.

Then everyone went home.

Well, it was a cool party. But there's nothing to look fowards to now. candy_frown Since the New Year's isn't really that fun. I mean, it's not like we're going to party on New Year's or New Year's eve. So yeah.

That's all. It was probably really boring for you guys. But I had a good time. candy_kawaii

Have a Happy New Year (2008) everyone!

- Sokymo.

Snow, snow, snow, FREEZING.
I haven't blogged in a while. Haven't found time. @_@ But anyways, Macabre Fixations has a new blog buddie/affie - Lani. candy_fairy

Anyways, as the title says, it's freaking cold. Freeeeeeeezing. I live in Canada, and you guys all know what they say. CANADA IS SO COLD. Yeah, that's right. However, it hadn't even snowed yet! This morning only brought frost. I hope it snows before December, though. Ugh I'm freezing at this moment. But all's okay~

So, today, I'd like to address a rather personal topic rather than the big general (ish) ones I had before. It's about singing. Yes, singing. So, I love to sing, no big deal. But I do have the huge, terrible problem (as everyone else does) of being afraid of singing in front of people. Well, I'm a very shy person to begin with, so...yeah. I've been trying to get better by doing recordings (although they're rather crappy mp3 recordings) and getting my friends to listen to them. Then maybe one day I'll get over my fear.

I'm wondering whether I should put my recordings up, assuming that anyone will listen to them. Probably not yet.

Does anyone have any tips on how to become...less afraid?

Yes, this is a short short entry. Or maybe I'll talk about something else. Like what?

"I'm Miss American Dreams
Since I was 17
Don't matter if I stepped on the scene,
Or snuck away to the Phillippines...
They're still gonna put pictures of my derriere in the magazine.
You want a piece of me?
(You want a piece of me?)"

I feel sorry for her. I know she wasn't great before, but still. People can only take so much critisizing. Is redemption ever possible for her?

Okay. Enough typing now; my fingers are cold. See ya guys~ candy_thumbsup

The Long Weekend.
First of all, please take a moment to remember those who died in World War II (although Rememberance/Veteran's Day was yesterday), if you didn't yesterday.

Thank you.

Well, I didn't have time to blog yesterday or the day before that, because I was out/busy updating Essentuality. However, I have time now. So here I am. Nothing particular happened yesterday. Went out with my friends, etc. etc. I don't quite remember what happened on Saturday. So yeah. Updated Essentuality today, and watched "The Invisible". I didn't understand it. Did anyone? If so, please explain to me how Annie was able to hear Nicholas, and why she had to be at the hospital for his soul to go back into his body. Thanks in advance.

Well, what will I talk about today? Nothing big or serious. Just a little issue that I don't understand. On some sites, when you want to apply for affiliation or link exchanging, there is a form to fill out. You can fill out the areas and just press the submit button. On other sites, the people tell you to copy and paste a text form into an email, and email it to them. Like this:

"Would you like to be affiliates? If so, please copy and paste this form, then fill it out, and email it to admin@blah.com.

Name:
Email:
Site Name:
Site URL:

Thanks!"

Alright, so there's a problem with the form. If I'm emailing the form to the person, then why do I have to put my email in the message? The person can see the email of the sender of the message, so why does the sender need to put their email in the content, again? Just in case you're confused, you know when you open an email, at the top, you'll see something like:

"From: yay@hotmail.com
Subject: Blah blah blah"

So, the "from" part of the message already states the email of the sender. Then, why would the sender have to put their email in the bottom part of the message (the content - where the form is pasted)? It's completely pointless. That's just repeating the email. It's a waste of time, and stupid.

So, unless there's some other reason for it (which I am currently not aware of) feel free to leave a comment about it. ^^

PS. I also think that having a requirement for affiliation: "You must link me on every page" is kind of dumb. I mean, yes, the other site will link you on every page too. But some layouts just don't allow for that. Would you push away some very promising affiliates just because they won't/can't link you on every page? I think that linking on every page should be an option. If Site A wants Site B to link them on every page, but Site B can't, then Site A can link Site B on one page. It shouldn't be a "link on all pages or no affiliation" thing. Oh well. It's just my opinion.
